Basic G7 Commands
G7 is an econometric regression and model-building program for Windows. It is designed for estimation of regression equations with annual, quarterly, or monthly data. This demo script provides the user with a solid foundation on which to build their G7 expertise. After running through the demo script, a user will be able to:
- Load and assign a bank
- Assign fdates, tdates, and gdates
- Print data to the screen using the type command.
- Graph data
- Form unique variables
- Add data to the workspace
- Use add files to perform multiple G7 commands at one time
- View a stub file
Download BASICG.ZIP and unzip to the directory of your choice. Open G and browse to where BASICG.ZIP was unzipped. Select the g.cfg file in the directory. Once inside G, type "add basicg.add" in the command line to begin.
